Life Away From The Keyboard

My family likes to say I live at my computer. But if that was true, they wouldn’t have clothes to wear or home cooked meals. Or someone to take them places. Or someone to find the things they lose. Or lots of other things.

As much as I love and enjoy writing, it couldn’t be the only creative thing I did. After while, I’d begin to hate it. So to keep the love alive and my creative well full, I take time some hobbies.

When I’m not writing, you can find me doing something crafty. I’ve got a long list of projects I want to make and an equally long list of projects I need do.

When the weather’s warm, I can found out in the garden picking vegetables and pulling weeds. Which is funny since I grew up a city gal.

Sometimes I’ll hang out with the chickens. They’re fun to watch and great sounding boards when I need to talk out a story issue I’m having.

I’ll also watch movies. Right now, I’m on the verge of becoming addicted to Korean dramas. Okay. I’m well past the verge. I stayed up until a few nights watching episodes of City Hunter. And I got my DH and my oldest son hooked on the show. I keep telling myself I’m doing research.

These are some ways I spend time away from my keyboard.
